What this site is
The site publishes free editorial and informational articles about the role of AI in investment, focused on forecasting volatility and understanding uncertainty. Nothing is sold on this site. There are no paid services, subscriptions, bookings, deposits, investment execution, account management, or personalised investment advice offered here. The only way to interact with us is to send an inquiry through the contact form.
No investment advice
All content on this site is general information and editorial commentary about methods, not advice tailored to your circumstances. Nothing here is a recommendation to buy, sell, hold, or avoid any security, fund, strategy, or model. Volatility forecasts and uncertainty estimates are described for understanding; they are not predictions you should rely on for an investment decision. If you want investment advice, engage a licensed adviser in your jurisdiction. We are not that adviser.
Accuracy and the nature of forecasts
We work to describe methods accurately and to state their assumptions out loud. Forecasts of volatility and uncertainty are, by definition, uncertain: a model can be well described and still be wrong about the future. We may update, correct, or remove articles as methods change or as errors are found, and we are not liable for losses that follow from treating editorial content as a forecast to act on.
Acceptable use
You may read, link to, and quote from the site for non-commercial purposes with attribution. You may not scrape the site at volume, republish whole articles without permission, use it to train a model for resale, or send inquiries that are unlawful, abusive, or fraudulent. Inquiries that appear to seek personalised investment advice will be answered with a reminder that we do not give it.
Intellectual property
Article text and the site design are the work of Kinetic Beacon Research. Photographs are used under the licences credited in our build record and retain the terms of their original licences; where a photograph requires attribution, that attribution is available on request. Fonts are self-hosted under their open licences (SIL Open Font License).

Articles may link to external sources such as academic papers or data providers for reference. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.
Limitation
To the extent permitted by Taiwanese law, Kinetic Beacon Research is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under the Consumer Protection Act or other mandatory law in Taiwan.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Taiwan, and any dispute relating to the site is subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Taipei, Taiwan.
